Installation instructions

Installation instructions for ST1 ceiling fixture support.

Ceiling luminaire support box ST1 (rectangular). For use in a finished structure (old work) ½” thru 1” thick.

1. Make a small hole in the sheet rock at desired light fixture location by using a Philip’s head screw driver.
2. Place the clip-on pilot locator bit (located on the face of the box) into that hole.
3. Use a marker or pencil to scribe a line around the perimeter of the box onto the paint ceiling.
4. Once a clear line is visible, cut away the line with a jab saw to make the perfect size hole every time.
5. Once a hole is cut, pull your romex thru that hole and insert it into one of the (built-in) wire inlets.

IMPORTANT Place the box into the hole. Then engage the single screw fastener into a ceiling rafter along with at least 2 toggles for light fixture support of no greater than 50lbs. Note this product is not rated for paddle fan support.
IMPORTANT Note 2 different size threaded holes built into the face of the box. The larger holes (8/32) are rated for light fixture support only. The smaller holes (6/32) are rated for device attachment only. Do not use the 6/32 holes for light fixture support.
